EFB Suite provides 4 core functionalities:
1. Operator and Aircraft Documentation Library
2. Electronic Journey Log
3. Weather
4. Flight Plan and Delay Message Filing
The Application connects to your company OMS server and syncronises the documentation on your iPad EFB with the server. This way you are always up-to-date with all manuals and documents. It will also provide alerts in case the EFB has not been synced for a predetermined period of time, if new updates are available, etc. You can monitor the status of all company EFBs.
Electronic Journey Log allows you to remove the paper journey log and use your iPad instead. It will show you the total aircraft hours, cycles, APU hours, hours remaining till maintenance, cycles remaining till maintenance, open HIL items and display warnings in case there are expired HIL items. The system will display all journey log fields in red that have to be filled in the pre-flight and the post-flight phase. Commander (PIC) signs the pre-flight check and the post-flight using his access details and handwritten signature. Journey log format is customisable and can be different for each aircraft. It is downloaded automatically from your company OMS server.
Weather allows you to download METAR and TAF quickly.
Flight Planning option is used to file flight plans and send delay messages. The system will download your aircraft data from the OMS server, so you just enter the route.
